FAQs

Great questions.
Simple answers.

Here’s how ReviewMage works.

Can I approve replies before they’re posted?

Absolutely. By default, drafts are sent to you by text, email or your preferred messaging platform. Approve with one tap, or edit the response and send it back. ReviewMage takes care of posting the approved reply. You can also choose Autopilot when you’re ready.

Will the replies sound like our restaurant?

When you register, ReviewMage reviews your past replies, website and social media to suggest your brand’s voice. You can review and modify that analysis—a casual beach restaurant should sound different from an upscale urban dining room. You stay in control and can approve everything before it’s posted. Once you’re confident ReviewMage understands your voice, you can switch to automatic replies.

Which review sites does ReviewMage monitor?

Google, Yelp, Tripadvisor and Facebook.

What about old, unanswered reviews?

When you sign up, ReviewMage professionally responds to all old, unanswered reviews, starting with the backlog and continuing with new reviews. Thoughtful replies to 1- and 2-star reviews help show prospective guests that you take feedback seriously.

What happens when we get a bad review?

ReviewMage immediately escalates 1- and 2-star reviews with specific recommended actions and routes feedback to the team members you designate. It also checks for potential legal issues and violations of the platform’s terms of service, then identifies the appropriate reporting or appeal options. Situations needing extra attention are escalated for review.

Can ReviewMage remove bad reviews?

ReviewMage analyzes legal and terms of service options for reviews that may be fake, abusive or otherwise prohibited. It helps prepare the case and identify available reporting and appeal steps, reducing the work on your part. A negative or unfair-seeming review is not automatically a violation. The platform decides whether to remove it; removal is not guaranteed.

How do the social media posts work?

ReviewMage uses your brand standards (logo, colors, fonts and style) to turn great new 5-star reviews into ready-to-share social media posts. It sends them directly to your social media manager or whomever you appoint.
